Class Task and Information

  • Lesson 01:
      • Students to continue work on IA1 requirements and performance standards: DS - IA1

      • Development of AI1 Structure

    • Set up document structure
    • Conduct research into existing products
    • Explore and record dataset that can be used to aid the Prescribed Criteria and Self-Determined Criteria

    • Students are to annotate research
    • Development of Mind Map
    • Prescribed Criteria and Self-Determined Criteria

  • Lesson 02:
      • Context Statement
      • Systems Thinking
      • Scope, Constraints, Limitations

      • Student to develop their context statement for their IA1

    • Breakdown of IA1 - This is a helping start to the process

    • System Thinking: Support Materials: System Thinking
      • Systems thinking in practice encourages us to explore inter-relationships (context and connections), perspectives (each actor has their own unique perception of the situation) and boundaries (agreeing on scope, scale and what might constitute an improvement). Systems thinking is particularly useful in addressing complex problems.
      • The scope defines the boundaries of the system (or problem) that is being addressed, this includes:
        • Problem statement
        • Objectives
        • Deliverables
        • Constraints and Limitations
        • Time line

    • What does the context statement require:
      • Write your Context Statement
      • This will be reviewed next lesson.
      • Have a copy in SWT for review.

  • Lesson 03:
  • Lesson 04:
Readings / Homework
  • Students to continue work on IA1 requirements and performance standards: DS - IA1

  • Monday you will be required to present:
    • Context Statement for your assignment.
    • Research for other data sources and websites.
    • Mind Map
    • Prescribed and Self Determined Criteria
