Week 10: Webpage Design and Development

Class Task and Information

  • Lesson 01:
    • Students are to complete and hand in their summative assignments.
    • Submission will require:
      • Portfolio of work including Design analysis justification (1000 words max) and printouts.
      • Print and submit work via myFlinders + USB


      • Students are to ensure they have completed the following sections:
        • Title Page
        • Index page
        • Revised Design Brief
        • UX persona profiles(recommended 3)
        • Design analysis justification (1000 words max)
        • Appendix
          • Mood board
          • Colour scheme
          • Low Fidelity wire frames
          • High fidelity wire frames



  • Lesson 02:
      • Introduction to PHP coding language
      • Connecting and executing files on the Digital Zone MAP
      • Variables and Data Types
      • Mathematical operands


      Video Tutorial Files -= What to Do =-
      • You will need to view the video file and stop it along the way so you can implement, do what the video files shows you.

      • Remember: Information Action = KNOWLEDGE

      • Remember to save your work as you go.

    • All students are to view the following tutorial before staring the programming tasks.
    • Class Tutorial - Digital Zone Server - Running PHP scripts
      • Learning Objectives:
        • Connect to the Server
        • Manage folder and file naming conventions
        • Develop a simple PHP program
        • Transfer PHP files to the server
        • Locate the file URL on the server
        • Execute PHP files on a server



    • Practical Tutorial Session:

      • PHP programming structures
